Mother’s Day…The Blessing of Flowers

May 9, 2017 @ 3:27 pm

As Mother's Day approaches, it seems fitting to honor mothers around the globe (living or dearly-departed.) Ironically, flowers seem like a fitting backdrop, given the beauty of a spring landscape and the joy of watching flowers pop up unexpectant in the most surprising places. While, I personally love the Lotus flower and the purple Iris, I'm sure everyone listening to this podcast has their own personal favorite. Our mother's contribution to love was wrapped tightly around the gift of turning black soil into glorious blooms; around all of her children's homes.  In hindsight, I wish I cared as much for flowers then as I do now and I wish I could express how those flats of flowers' has left me with a new-found appreciation for God's little miracles.
